City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare
summer school is eating up my reading and reviewing time! GRR. anyway it’ll be over soon and i’ll have the whole summer to read & review books. wootttt! so, City of Lost Souls was a freaking THRILL RIDE. i will say that it was also the most frustrating of all the books because of all the unanswered questions and mysteries with Jace and his condition you could call it and how it was all going to span out but they all got settled THANKFULLY. and we saw some SERIOUS relationship development in this book that i am LOVING. Simon & Isabelle and also Maia & Jordan. LOOOOOVE. there were so many twists and the way it ended has left me CRAVING for so much more. i can’t believe that’s only one more book until it’s all over. this book had so much information in it to start up the next book that i think it’ll flow into the next one really, really well. and the way it ended! i don’t wanna ruin it of course, but it ended with a bang let’s just say that.
Rating: 5/5. AMAZING. i want more NOW.
City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare
so i just realized that i finished this book forever ago and never did a review on it and i’m almost done City of Lost Souls so i’ve clearly been busy haha. as the fourth installment of The Mortal Instruments series this book took off into a whole new direction with new plot twists, new characters, lots of action as always and better yet new, fresh relationships as well. this book was very good however, i found it a bit of a slower read compared to the first three books. although once you get to the last 4 chaptersishhhh you FLY through. there are so many more struggles and i’m really happy that characters like Simon are getting more detailed looks into their lives now. after finishing this book i literally dove into City of Lost Souls because it leaves you with a huge cliffhanger.
Rating: 4.5/5 only because of it being a slower read than the first three.
